Ritorna uno degli artisti più acclamati per quanto riguarda l'hip hop positivo, che non è una malattia, ma quella branchia del vasto genere HH che si è staccato dal gangsta, sparatorie e cazzate simili e vede l'hip hop come un energia capace di creare poesia e di portare positività al ascoltatore. Ebbene, dopo il flop di Electric Circus (2002), Common ritorna con l'abum Be, che a tratti è accessibile all'ascoltatore e a tratti sembtra essere completamente distante dal pubblico.
In continua evoluzione, Common, lancia questo disco, che probabilmente segna la definitiva scissione dell'artista dalla scena per abbracciare quella soul iniziata prima del matrimonio con la bellissima Erikah Badu.
Un album profondo e inteliggente che con occhio critico va a scandagliare tutte le stronzate esistenti in questo mondo.
Le produzioni sono di quel B-Man di Kanie West e J-Dilla. Featuring con Jonh Legend e Bilal
L'unica nota negativa è la produzione di alcune traccie in cui Kanie sembra Ripetersi.
